IEMQG General Meeting
October 7, 2017
Grand Terrace Community Room, Grand Terrace, CA
The meeting was called to order at 2:10 by President Laura Greene.
“Five Questions” was won by Donna Gaston. Laura made the following announcements:
(1) QuiltConn entries are due by November 30
(2) the end of the year holiday meeting will be held at the Mountain Shadows Mobile Home Park community room on Saturday, December 9 from 2- 4 and there will be a potluck baked potato bar and desserts
(3) sit and sew will be October 22 from 9 – 5.
Committees:
Charity: Rachel McGee requested lap quilts for seniors. She has some kits for members to assemble and asked that they are turned in at the November meeting.
Refreshments: Pat Kalssen requested volunteers for November.
Membership: Gayle is updating the membership form for 2019. Dues will remain at $40 per year.
Nominations: Aimee French and Tricia Williams are the nominating committee. Nominations so far include Laura Greene, President; Gayle Bennett, Treasurer; Candace Kimball, Secretary; VP Programs, Cat Wallace; VP Communications, Jennifer Adams.
After the break, Sue Stone of Needle in ad Fabric Stash gave a presentation and pop up shop. After her presentation, members shared their projects in Show and Share.
The meeting was adjourned at 3:55.
