Our annual executive board election is nearly upon us, beginning next week on Monday, October 15th.
The election will be conducted electronically this year via Survey Monkey. This electronic ballot will provide a free, accurate process for the collection and tabulation of votes for our guild. The election will run from October 15th through 5:00pm PDT on November 2nd. If you are a current (paid) IEMQG guild member you will receive an email to your registered email on file with the guild that includes a link to vote. Please take a minute to review the candidate statements below for the two members running for our president’s position prior to casting your electronic ballot. Make sure to respond to the link no later than 5:00pm PDT on November 2nd before the election period closes. We will announce the new officers at our November meeting (to be held at Mt. Shadows – Member University) on Saturday, November 3rd.
Should you have any questions regarding the process or need to update your email with the guild, please feel free to contact us at here. Thank you in advance for your time and participation!

Candidate Statements – President:
Gayle Bennett:
“During our first years I have worked as the Treasurer and been closely involved with the development of the guild. Moving forward I hope to be instrumental in our growth, encourage new volunteers to be our future leaders, while having fun and building our modern quilting community.”
Jessica Cook:
“I will be glad to run for President of the I.E. Modern Guild for 2019. I have experience in board positions due to the fact that I have been the President of Pass Patchers 2 years in a row and 2, 1-year terms as President for the Mini Quilt Lovers Guild II. I have been a quilter for 25 plus years and have seen styles of quilting come and go. I have learned a lot and I continue to learn. I love passing on my love of quilting to others. Our guild is only as good as we make it. We all need to work together as a team.”
