General Meeting:

Our general meeting will be held at La Sierra Library located at 4600 La Sierra Avenue in Riverside on January 4, 2025. Socializing begins at 10:30 and the general meeting starts at 11:00. This month we are honored to have Kena Tangi Dorsey of Kena Quilt Studio present her style and techniques from her book The Big, Bold, and Beautiful: Using African Prints in Quilts. Kena will share inspiration and ideas for incorporating vivacious African wax prints into your quilt projects. She will also bring some fabrics to sell. Come prepared! You’ll want them all! Guests are always welcome–$5. If you join the Guild, the first meeting is on us.

Also in January:

  1. Find out the exciting things happening in 2025.
  2. Hear about the first half of 2025 quilt challenge.
  3. Share your Orphan Block challenge quilts.
  4. Our BOM committee position has not been filled. If you’d like to volunteer, please call a board member and let them know. No BOM is too small or too large, nor too simple or too complicated. Bring it on!

2025 Membership Dues are due by Guild. You may pay by cash or check at a meeting or with PayPal. Dues remain at $45. You must fill out and return the 2025 Membership form found in Members Corner. If you need assistance please email Membership at iemodernquiltguild@gmail.com.

2025 Retreat

Retreat is scheduled for November 3–5th at Vina de Lestonnac in Temecula. To hold your reserved space a deposit of $100.00 may be made beginning at the January 2025 meeting. You may pay by cash or check at a meeting or use the PayPal app.

  • Drop-in Sew via Zoom: January 13th and 27th, 7 – 9pm. The Zoom link typically goes out on the Sunday before.
  • Saturday, February 1st is the February Guild Meeting at 4600 La Sierra Avenue, Riverside, CA.
