Guild President Message. Opportunities to explore Modern Quilting are abundant! With Quilt Con in Phoenix in February you can enjoy outstanding quilts, shop from vendors, attend lectures and meet other modern quilters from around the world. There is a special meet up for members from our region on Saturday morning and many of our guild attended. Besides Quilt Con there are opportunities to help the recent fire victims. SCCQG had a meeting this 02/15/2025 to plan how to move forward distributing quilts, supplies, and cash to those in need. If you or a quilter you know a quilter who has lost their home to a recent fire, let our guild know and we’ll connect you to quilting resources. The Visions Museum of Textile Art is collecting 12” x 12” art pieces for fire victims to decorate their new home with a handmade work of art to remind them our community cares and supports them. Our love of fabric, patterns, and creating unites us together in this crazy world!

Examples are provided on the workshop web site provided at the above hyperlink.
In this workshop we will make a batch of Leaf Prints. The process will be explained and the students will lay out leaves on pieces of fabric and paper. They will experience the entire process. Each student will take home a small batch of their own prints.
