Our past president, Michele Nichols, will be presenting “Life’s Short-Do What You Love.” She’s presenting her quilts as a Bed Turning. She is inspired by bright colors, negative space, and geometric shapes. Come see her modern techniques in her quilts and garments. She has had her quilts in several shows, we look forward to listening to how she creates modern aesthetic in her show pieces. Join us on March 4th!
Do you love animals? I do! I challenge you to make a modern mini quilt with an animal. Maybe Elizabeth Hartman? Maybe woodland animals? Maybe collage floral animal (Laura Heine)? Maybe a pre-printed fabric used in a modern way?
You have 2 months to create a fun modern mini quilt and bring it to our March meeting. Your quilt should be less than 24″ x 36″, be three layers, and have finished edges. (Yes, finished.) I can’t wait to see your fabulous creation!
