The Quest Is On!
Join us on March 2, 2019 as our search for a better meeting location commences!
On February 10th I was finally able to pry the information out of the representative at City of Grand Terrace and discover that, once again, we could not have the community room for our regularly scheduled guild meeting. We have no idea when they may have planned to tell us, on March 1st perhaps?
Thanks to the input of guild members we have been able to secure the meeting room at the La Sierra branch of the Riverside City Library. This is not the library building we met at last May.
Please put this address in your phone for the La Sierra branch;
4600 La Sierra Ave, Riverside.
We will be conducting an efficient Board Meeting at 12:30 PM, with our regular Guild Meeting to follow at its usual time, set up by 1:30 with our meeting at 2:00. Our own Alison Cutler will be presenting her Transitional Quilter talk with a showing of her quilts. Her journey ought to be interesting, Alison’s quilts are amazing. Be sure to bring quilts for Laura to collect and hang at the Upland Library for Women’s History month. All quilts submitted need a standard hanging sleeve.
In order to fully examine the options available we have booked a meeting room at the Riverside Main Library for our guild meetings of April 6th and May 4th. The address for that location is:
3581 Mission Inn Ave, Riverside.
We will post and send out additional reminders as those dates get closer.
Our guild is a collaborative effort and the opinions of our members matter. I apologize for the inconvenience the location changes create, but the insecurity of our schedule at Grand Terrace continues to make planning difficult and chaotic. Please plan to join us at both Riverside Library locations so that we have input from as many guild members as possible as we make choices for a future, stable, location.
