Road to California Atrium Exhibit Information

We are excited for IEMQG to be a part of the upcoming Road to California Quilters Conference and Showcase through our display in the convention center Atrium. There are some important details we want all our members to be aware for this special event.

Quilt Photos:

We will need to submit photos of all the quilts to Road for planning of the exhibit. Photos will be taken by Michael Graves at Riverside Main Library on Saturday, October 12th beginning at noon until 1:30 pm, prior to our monthly meeting. Just quilt tops need to be complete, binding and backing are not necessary.

If you can’t make it to the October meeting or don’t have your quilt available to have a photo taken, you may send your own (saved as a ‘pdf’ file) to Gayle no later than October 10th.  The picture should be a clear image of the quilt top (only). Send the pictures to Gayle’s personal email at: gbennett325@gmail.com

Additional required items for quilts submitted:

  • All quilts need to be labeled with your Name, Phone, and Quilt Name prior to submission in January
  • Quilts must be a minimum 72” long and no more than 100” wide
  • You also must have a 4” continuous sleeve (not in sections) for hanging the quilt.  A tutorial for making a sleeve can be found on our website here

Road to California to take place Thursday, January 23rd through Sunday, January 26th, 2020.

We are asking our members to submit modern quilts so that they can best represent our guild’s modern aesthetic.

Quilts will be delivered to Road the week of January 13th. We will discuss coordination of this at a later meeting as well as pick-up of your quilt at the conclusion of the show.
