Welcome to Fall! Could there possibly be cooler temperatures just right for quilting coming our way?

Join us October 5, 2019, next Saturday, for the monthly guild meeting located at the Riverside Main Library. Our guest speaker will be Elizabeth Eastmond presenting her lecture “An Undercover Traditional Modern Art Quilter” Enjoy a look at quilts that bridge all three categories, helping you define for yourself where you belong. Hint: It can change.
You can find Elizbeth online at: https://opquilt.com/about-opquilt-and-elizabeth/
Non member guests are welcome to attend for a $5.00 guest fee. There will not be a Show and Share in order to ensure that our meeting will offer plenty of time to enjoy Elizabeth’s lecture.
Doors open at 1:30, meeting start time is 2:00.
If you are bringing your Road quilt top or quilt to be photographed next Saturday we will be available starting at 12:00 PM.

It is Guild election time and we will offer the current slate to the membership at the October meeting. At the moment we are still in search of someone for the Secretary board position.
Primary duties of the Secretary are to keep the minutes of the guild meetings, board meeting and any special meetings. Email a draft for review and send final copy to VP of Programs for posting. Print a hard copy and save an electronic copy to the Guild’s Google Drive. The Secretary also sends thank you notes to speakers or workshop hosts, maintains the list of speakers and books the guild and board meeting locations. Participation on our board of directors is a collaborative effort. If you’ve ever had an interest in getting involved with the board and how we plan and run our guild the Secretary job is a good entry point. We will teach and support you as you learn the duties involved. Please email me at gbennett325@gmail.com if you have any questions or would like to submit your name for nomination.
