Oh, our second successful year as a modern guild is culminating with the Member University, Holiday Party, and Pop-Up Exhibit. I look forward to seeing you on November 3rd at 2 pm at Mountain Shadows Community Center for our general meeting. We will have mini workshops on the AcuQuilt, Specialty Threads, Machine Binding and the MQG Website. Be sure to bring your Block Lotto for the drawing. (There was no drawing last month, so you can bring blocks for October and November.)
You can renew your membership for $40 starting in November. This coming year we are anticipating great programs, including Linda Sullivan of Colorwerks and Mel Beach who is an expert at color and shape. Your membership also includes the newly revamped MQG website with free webinars, patterns, and much more.
We have some fabric from our Upcycle Sale that will be available to purchase at the November meeting-so bring a few bucks.
We also have a holiday quilt that was donated and will be raffled in December. Tickets can be purchased in November and December.
It’s time for the holiday revelry to start! On December 10 at 2 pm our holiday party will again include the LCR and bingo games with prizes. I cannot wait for a delicious meal at our chili bar :).
Additionally, you are encouraged to participate actively in the guild by taking on a small leadership role. I want to personally thank you for your donations, your purchases, and your time to make our guild a heartwarming organization. Your caring has made my two years worthwhile. This is your guild, and you make the personal difference!
Finally, I hope that you have voted for the 2019 board members. It’s not too late to vote, since the voting window is open until November 2 at 5 pm. The new board will be announced at the November meeting.
